Features
- 01 OpenCaster — Features — OpenCaster is a toolset for enabling creation, management and transmission of complex digital video streams compliant with MPEG and DVB standards. · Ready to go examples inside, with full source codes for study, reference and enhancement. · Target: developers, schools/universities, ICT firms, broadcasters. · Applications: Games, Infotainment, Poll, T-voting, T-commerce apps. · Registered users, in case of further interest and issues, will get support from Avalpa technical staff.
- 02 UT-100C — Features — USB based modulator/demodulator with support for EN 300-744 DVB-T transmission and reception. · Powered from the USB bus, so no external power adapter is required. · Full hardware modulation/demodulation, no host CPU computation required.
- 03 Modulator (Transmitter) — Direct digital conversion to 50~950MHz and 1200~1350 MHz for excellent signal quality. · Support only non-hierarchy mode. · Programmable digital attenuator. · Free Windows Stream Player. · Free Windows and Linux SDK.
- 04 Host requirements — CPU: Intel, AMD, ARM, MIPS · 128MB RAM of system memory or above · Higher CPU and memory required if DVB-T audio/video decoding is needed. · One available USB2.0 or 1.1 port (Note: USB 1.1 can only support 3~5 Mbps stream data rate).
- 05 Q: What exactly is the difference between the “plain” UT-100C and the OpenCaster bundle? — As of now the OpenCaster release 3.2 is officially only available on the bundle package, because we want people subsidizing the open source project to get MORE value for their money. This is how free (as freedom) software can sustain itself.
- 06 Q: The OpenCaster software is open source and freely available, so does this mean there is some additional component delivered with this bundle which is not part of the standard OpenCaster? — YES. The standard package is meant to use as TS source and sink the UDP transport. The UT100C application “tsrfsend” is only available on the bundle package. Of course it's still open source.
